“You shall put the holy garments on Aaron and anoint him and consecrate him, that he may serve as a priest to Me.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭40:13‬ ‭AMP‬‬

As I was reading today I was struck at all the detail that went into The Tabernacle. Each article and garment intricately designed. And when it was all said and done, the guy that made the golden calf and led the Israelites in their worship of a false god, was consecrated, set aside, and made a priest to unto G-d!

His past transgression forgiven, Aaron was given holy garments, anointed, and consecrated.

No matter what we’ve done, G-d still wants to use us. No matter how we’ve failed, He makes a way for us. When the world calls us disqualified, He promotes us. It’s a pretty humbling thought.

When I was 2, I had bacterial spinal meningitis and the doctors didn’t think I would make it. One even said, she’ll never amount to anything” and another told my mom to prepare for the worst. But G-d – He had a plan for me that would not and could not be thwarted by disease, divorce, depression, or abuse. His plans for me and His call on me are irrevocable.

When we say yes to G-d, He clothes us in priestly garments, He anoints us, and He consecrates us through His Son.

The doubts and insecurities whispering in my ear are nothing more than a web of lies. I can choose to believe the lies or I can choose to believe the truth that because of Him, I am qualified. Today, I choose Truth.

Father – thank You for forgiving me. Thank You for rescuing me from abuse and depression. Thank You for restoring and healing me. You are good. You can be trusted and Your leadership in my life is perfect. Amen.
