He Brought Me

Then he brought me to the Temple, and measured the pillars—six cubits wide on one side, six cubits wide on the other side, which was the width of the tent…When he measured the inner room’s length, it was 20 cubits, and the width was 20 cubits, in front of the Temple. He said to me, “This is the Holy of Holies.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭41:1, 4‬ ‭TLV‬‬

Today’s reading is filled measurements and descriptions of what is often referred to as Ezekiel’s Temple or the Third Temple. To say it’s elaborate is an understatement. The vision was detailed and meticulous. As I read it I’m reminded that G-d has a plan for us – and His plan will not fail. No matter what I do or don’t do, and no matter my failure or success, He will bring His plan and His purposes to pass.

He has a place for me. He is preparing it even now. He is meticulous and attentive, paying attention to every detail of my life and of the place He is leading me. And, He made the way for me to enter – through His Son. I couldn’t earn it. It’s His gift – simply because He loves me. I may not have the earthly home I long for yet, but my eternal home is secure. He brought me into His presence now, and He will bring me into my eternal home one day. I can look to the future with great hope.

Father – thank You for the hope for eternity. You are gracious and kind. Thank You for making a way for me. You are good and You keep doing good. Your leadership in my life is perfect and You can be trusted. Amen.
